PNEUMATIC
MASTS
At KEPL, we design and manufacture high-performance Pneumatic Telescopic Masts (PTMs) tailored to meet the demanding needs of communication, surveillance, field testing, and mobile radar applications. Backed by cutting-edge R&D and robust infrastructure, our masts are engineered for quick deployment, seamless operation, and exceptional reliability in all environments.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Our customized PTMs are ideal for both temporary and long-term installations, with locking models available for extended deployment. Designed for efficiency and ease, they are lightweight, compact, and simple to erect or retract using low-pressure air—either manually or via compressor.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Precision-Made Construction
Each Pneumatic Mast is built using heat-treated, high-tensile aluminum alloy sections, telescoped for compact storage and vertical extension. The upper sections are anodized, while the base section is chromated and powder-coated in olive green. Custom color options are available, ensuring corrosion resistance and adaptability to varied environments.
Configurable Heights & Air-Powered Extension
Masts are designed based on antenna load and height requirements, with the ability to extend from 3 to 33 meters. Low-pressure air enables vertical extension through either a foot pump or an air compressor. For vehicle-mounted units, the mast can connect to the vehicle’s pneumatic system using optional accessories, allowing quick and effortless setup.
Anti-Rotation & Secure Locking Mechanism
A full-length keyway prevents rotation between sections, enabling safe and secure use with directional antennas. Each section locks in place using thumbscrew-operated collars. Retraction is equally simple—release the thumbscrews and open the air outlet valve to lower the mast safely, one section at a time, ensuring stable and secure handling.
Customized Support & Mounting Options
Depending on usage, these telescopic masts are designed as either self-supporting or guy-supported. The type and thickness of guy ropes—available in nylon or steel—are selected based on structural requirements. This ensures reliable stability in diverse applications, whether deployed on rugged terrain, vehicles, or fixed platforms.
